World cloning is still an experimental process so there might be unknown bugs. * I strongly recommend saving to a new file in case something goes wrong. That’s it, you now have a new world in your game!
Enter the name then click OK, then save*, return to the main menu and reload. With the mod installed, open the cheat console while in the world you want to copy (either in Build Mode or Live Mode), enter py, and a dialog will appear where you can enter the name of the new world. It allows you to quickly copy the current world using a cheat.
Thanks to this tutorial on ModTheSims (and this version of the tutorial by with images and updated information), it’s possible to copy entire worlds and lots in a save file - that means you can have multiple Newcrests or Oasis Springs or any other world you want (with limitations that I’ll mention later).Ĭloning worlds by hand is long and tedious, so I made this mod to automate the process.
